Although every care should be taken by the removal company whilst transporting and storing your goods, there may still be occasions when your possessions become lost or are damaged. Furniture removal insurance is something we recommend that you consider on all moves, especially interstate relocations, due to the logistics of moving furniture and belongings over large distances.
What is covered by Home Removal Insurance?

Cover A - when your goods are packed by a professional packer
Protects against "all risks" of loss or accidental damage to your household goods and personal possessions that occur whilst your goods are being transported or stored by the removal company.
Cover B - when your goods are not packed by a professional packer
Protects against loss or damage to your household goods and personal possessions only if caused by one of the following events:
- Collision or contact of the vessel or aircraft or truck with any external object other than water
- earthquake or volcanic eruption or lightning
- fire or explosion
- general average sacrifice
- jettison or washing overboard
- overturning or derailment of the land conveyance
- the vessel being stranded or grounded or sunk or capsized
The cover under the policy is subject to the policy terms and conditions contained in the policy wording.
